Trimming workforce at Nike. Mostly those in IT.
Nike recently started to implement its downsizing exercise by notifying about 1,400 workers that they are being let go. Citing increasingly difficult market environment as the main reason to let go the workers.
Most of those affected are in the IT roles and veterans with long tenure with the company. Those with positions in sales, operations and customer support service also received notification that they are getting the axe as well.
